At Jesus’ feet

A poem written for comfort.

Alpine National Park, Victoria.

When my soul is weary,

Feeling hurt and alone,

I kneel before our Lord,

Jesus Christ on his throne.

My head rests on his feet,

For I cannot lift my face,

I just listen to his voice,

Filled with love and grace.

“Do not worry, faithful one,

Our Father has a plan,

He will not ever leave you,

But holds you in His hand.”

His words are kind and gentle,

They calm the storm within,

I feel the shadows lifting,

He casts off the weight of sin.

He reaches down and catches,

Each and every tear that falls,

I know he understands,

For he suffered through it all.
